DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS
6 Week Coed T-Ball Clinic for 4 yr old boys and girls
6 Week program starting middle of April- Coed T-Ball Clinic for 4 yr olds – Clinic is held on Saturdays at Bodman Park at 9am and lasts for about 50 minutes. Players will be given a shirt and hat. Players will do station drills with coaches and work on basic baseball fielding and hitting skills. Each player should bring a baseball glove and can wear baseball pants and sneakers, cleats or turf shoes.
Coed T-ball for boys and girls ages 5-6 yr oldsDivision usually has twelve teams with 10 players on a team. Tball Team Managers are expected to hold one practice per week and Tball games are held on Saturday mornings at 10:15 am. T-Ball is an entry-level instructional program between two teams of beginner players. Teaching emphasis is placed on fundamental techniques of catching, throwing and hitting and understanding the basic rules of baseball. The primary goals of T-Ball are for the players to have fun and allow them to experience the value of teamwork. No live pitching is permitted in this division. There are no umpires, final scores, or standings for this division. The bases are set at 50ft. Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Tballs and bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. At local sporting goods stores, parents may purchase sweat pants or grey baseball pants and sneakers or cleats for players to wear to practices and games. The only equipment parents have to buy for their child is a glove that is properly sized for the players hand.
Rookie Boys Division for 6-8 yr olds is a “coach-pitch” program Rookie Boys Division is a “coach-pitch” program. The division is normally comprised of 14 teams of 10-12 players on a team. Team Managers are expected to hold practice once per week and most games are on Saturday mornings around 11:30 am (with possibly a few weekday games scheduled throughout the season). At this level, players begin to hit a pitched ball from the coaches. Players are taught basic fundamentals of baseball to prepare them for the next level. There are no umpires, final scores, or standings for this division. The playing field used is a 60-foot diamond.Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Baseballs and Bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. Rookie Girls Softball is for ages 6-7 yr oldsThis division normally has 4 - 6 teams with 12 players per team. Team Managers are expected to run practice once a week and play two games per week. Games are scheduled on Saturday mornings and once during the week. Rookie Girls Softball division is a “coach-pitch” program. At this level, players begin to hit a pitched ball. Coaches are on the field during games to encourage/instruct players. Players are taught game basics. There are no umpires, final scores, or standings for this division. The playing field is a skin infield 60 ft diamond. Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Softballs and Bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. At local sporting goods stores, parents may purchase sweat pants or grey softball pants and sneakers or cleats for players to wear to practices and games. The only equipment parents have to buy for their child is a glove that is properly sized for the players hand. We would recommend players wear a heart guard shirt.
Minor Boys for league age 8 and 9 yr olds.
Placement on teams in this division is by a draft following player evaluations.
No parent requests for coaches, teams or players to play together are accepted.
This is the first division where players are allowed to pitch. Pitching is from a distance of 46 ft. Games are Saturdays at 1:30 pm and Wednesdays at 6 pm. Teams also practice one night per week.
Fundamental skills are stressed, but games are played without coaches on the field. This is our first level where Cadet umpires are used in the game. There are no base on balls at this level – the batter hits off the tee after ball four. No standings are kept. The playing field is a 60 ft diamond. Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Baseballs and Bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. The players in this league will continue to master the basic fundamentals of baseball in a competitive environment while further developing each player’s skill set. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Baseballs and Bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. The Intermediate (50/70) Division is for 12-13-year-olds.

This division is on a field with 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths and offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). The players in this league will continue to master the basic fundamentals of baseball in a competitive environment while further developing each player’s skill set. Players are given a team hat, shirt and socks by the league. Helmets, Bats, Baseballs and Bases are also supplied to each team manager by the league. The Senior Baseball Division is for 14-16 year-olds.Teams try to practice in the beginning of the season and are scheduled for two games a week but emphasis is on playing games.
The Junior/Senior League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). The players in this league will continue to master the basic fundamentals of baseball in a competitive environment while further developing each player’s skill set. Placement on teams in this division is by a draft by the division coordinator. Players are given a team hat and shirt by the league.
